Erected along channels where the Somme river, the Avre and the Selle mingle there waters, the district of Saint Leu has made with the Middle Ages, the richness of Amiens. Amiens has become the prefecture of the Somme department thanks to its many mills. At the beginning of last century, the district became a dirty and dangerous place. Renovated in the Eighties it became a very snuffed district: faculty, restaurants, concert halls coexist here and there for the happiness of the Amieners...
