the gate of nevers

At the bend of the ways in the ancient village of Saint Valery sur Somme, the gate of Nevers dating from the XIVth century, still called Saint Martin's gate carried formerly directly on the bank. In front of it stands the Jeanne d'Arc tower, vestige of the former surrounding wall.
